On any given day, a wide variety of emergency scenarios potentially pose a threat to the students and employees of South Plains College. Severe weather, hazardous materials, power failure, fights or assaults, threats, weapons, and even terrorist activities are a few of the natural or man-made disasters that require consideration and organized response procedures.

This page is designed to serve as a reliable source of information to assist SPC faculty and staff in the event of an emergency. The location buttons below will lead to procedural guidelines specific to each SPC location.

Safety is everyone’s responsibility and in most instances is rooted in one’s awareness of potential hazards and common sense in responding to such hazards. All employees are encouraged to review the procedures listed and be familiar with the content. It is important to remember that the guidelines are not meant to replace an individual’s personal judgment.
