The purpose of the scholarship program is to attract and retain outstanding students to South Plains College and to expand opportunities for students to pursue higher education. The scholarship programs that are administered by South Plains College are generally awarded on the basis of academic achievement, character and leadership.

Scholarship programs are classified in one of our categories:
  • General College Scholarships are open to all qualified students;
  • Departmental or Program Scholarships are open only to students enrolled in a specific major field of study.
  • Activity Scholarships are open to students enrolled in specific classes.
  • Non-Traditional Student Scholarships are open to students who are 25 years or older.
You can't be considered for a scholarship unless you apply, so new and current students at SPC are encouraged to apply for scholarships. You might be surprised how helpful scholarships can be.
